.heres.to.new.friends.
Guess what I’ve been doing? It involves 4AM wake-ups, 50 degree temps., corn, combines and lots of poop. Meet my new friends. Much more to come - you don’t want to miss this. I have spent some serious time in a combine, with a milk truck and photographing udders.

Did I mention I LOVE my job? Who else makes friends like this?

As many of you know I split my time between the fabulous Bowling Green, Ky. and the super-fabulous Finchville, Ky. Why? I am completing my photojournalism degree at Western Kentucky University (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE WKU!!). And I am growing to really LOVE IT! Initially I was bummed, because so much documentary work doesn’t leave lots of space for pretty and pizazz, but I’m learning how to spice it up a bit. Here is a sampling of what I’ve turned in - not all my favorites - but they show where I’ve been up to the past 3 weeks.
A little girl playing in the fountains at Cherokee Park.

Some serious roller skaters at Champs Rollerdome.

Christopher 2X organized a remembrance ceremony for Cedric Duncan. Duncan was shot to death Sept. 17, 2006, and a killer is still to be found. Shown here is Duncan’s 3-year-old and sister. A very powerful and volatile situation.

Gotta love those racetrackers.

Jerry, who walks hots for my father - he’s been around a while. He likes fish frys on Fridays, and Bingo on Saturday.

A friendly jeweler in Bowling Green, Ky.

Angela, who cut my hair - from the fabulous Bella Salon on Bowling Green.

Carolyn Spitz, owner of Elegant Occasions in Bowling Green, Ky. You’ll get to see some of her fabulous catering from a wedding I’ll be shooting this Saturday.

LOVE Mrs. Blackshear - most sincere and sprite.

My pal, and yours, Christopher 2X. You’ll be seeing lots of him - he’ll be my community activist for a week.

That’s all folks…for now! I do have some spaces Oct. 12-13-14. If you have requested times for this weekend, and I’ve been packed - get in touch! The holidays are approaching - all photos used for gifts, cards, etc. MUST be shot BEFORE NOVEMBER! Also - all galleries will be reposted for the month of November - so you can order holiday gifts! Yea!!

Just a sneak peek of what I’ve been doing. Lots and lots of shooting for school. Made this one of two teammates praying before Shelby County High School’s homecoming.

Stay tuned!
.galleries.to.expire.
There are lots of you out there whose galleries on the clients page are set to expire soon. Please remember that there is a $50 re-hosting fee for the gallery to be up an additional 7 days - per the portrait agreement. No rush, just wanted to make sure this was stated clearly for all to see.
Thanks and have a Happy Wednesday!

Alyssa and I had a sweet time in Old Louisville. Our quick session was all shot in St. James Court. I absolutely adore her dark eyes and gorgeous hair, and the last image is my favorite. Reminds me of daddy’s little girl. Enjoy!

Thanks for inviting me into your life!

Yet another man in the mix! If I do say so, Adam looks awful studly in his gorgeous blue shirt - and check out those eyes! Adam is super-active in drama which made our session super fun. Head over to the clients page and check out his session! We started in West Louisville and ended up by the Center for the Arts. He ran through a fountain downtown for me. I love it when you all are risky!

Enjoy these, Adam!
A quick note, I will be home for the weekend, so email response may be a bit slower than normal as I enjoy some family time. Have a great weekend either way, and I’ll be in touch Monday!

At 10 am on Bardstown Road, Whitney, her sister Amber and I were having a blast one Sunday morning. We met at Krispy Kreme (mmmmm), and headed over to Farmington to get some ‘natural’ images. Once we made some fabulous photos, we headed up and down Bardstown road to add some color and funkiness to our images. I love that Whitney brought along her sister, who not only helped her change clothes and makeup - but helped to bring out some personality and great laughs. I soo loved working with you all and am glad you didn’t wrinkle your nose when I said, “Lets go to the Jiffy Lube, then the tattoo parlor and then a bathroom that smells!” Don’t worry - no one was harmed in the making of these photos - or tattoed.

Really this is just her!

Told ya - she has such great hair and a fabulous laugh!

This is the infamous ‘give me seductive, in a classy way,’ I think she rocks it!

Yep, this is a bathroom - probably the worse smelling in Louisville.

My fun and quick session with Aaron really gave me a whole new appreciation for photographing boys…I mean men, and noontime light. Of course it helps that Aaron is pretty studly - and his eyes are amazing. Thanks to ‘the glow’ that the noontime sun gave us - there’s lots of eye-poppin’ going on!

Thanks again to Aaron and his mom Denise (that’s mom #7 named Denise this season), for all the fun and our super-speed. Hope you made it to the UK game with enough time to tailgate.
.working…or.not.
Well, folks, I know the blog has been a little empty lately, but I am 100% back on board and super busy!
As I finish my photojournalism degree at the fabulous Western Kentucky University, I am a busy lady. Through yesterday , I was also working on campus, but have left my position in the fabulous Meredith Hall to focus fully on Lizzie Loo and my schoolwork.
Stay tuned as I share more seniors and some of my documentary work. Through my coursework, I have learned a lot about my photography and can hardly wait to unleash my skills on future portrait sessions and weddings.
This being said, I now have time to take on weddings this fall and will be able to open more weekends for sessions. As of today I have spaces next weekend, Sept 21-22 and Oct. 12-13. Shoot me an email if you want to set something up! Don’t let Christmas sneak up on you - Lizzie Loo has endless possibilities when it comes to cards and photo gifting!
Have a great weekend - and keep blog stalking! I appreciate you all!

This girl has some stunning eyes! We shot around Shelbyville - and had lots of fun! Here we are on my favorite bridge ever: Who da thot it? Can you believe Shelbyville is tearing it down? Heard it’s for sale! Be sure to check out the clients page from time to time, too - you can access any of the images there - a good way to waste some time…haha. Anna’s session is worth the time!
you’re so awesome elizabeth! (and i’m not just talking about bowling! :) can’t wait to see our wedding pics. lots of love!
