Elizabeth and I shot in Anchorage and Middletown – I love this area. Totally underused – so check it out for your next shoot.
Elizabeth is super sweet and so flexible – we had tons of fun! I love this shot of her – I love the composition and her expression – enough said – it speaks for itself.

Photogenic. Really, she’s quite stunning, had super-long, dark hair and sparkley blue eyes. I hope you all love them! Definitely take a mosey through all of the new galleries on the clients page. Feel free to gander! You should take time to check out Lauren and many others’ shots – lots of great people.

The answer is yes.
I do photograph boys – I just happen to shoot more ladies. Here is the ever studly Aaron Zehnder. A little hard to believe, but I babysat Aaron and his brother when they were much smaller. I usually pride myself on being at the young end of things – but this is REALLY dating me.
All joking aside, it’s fun and so rewarding to see friends and family grow up, and the most fun to be able to see them through my lens. Congrats for making it this far Aaron – I know you’ll make a fabulous dentist…maybe you can make me dentures one day! Enjoy!

A quick note on Aaron’s family. They own Willowbank Garden Company and do really beautiful work – definitely check out their work. Aaron’s session was shot in Finchville in their daylily gardens. See that here!

All over Shelbyville we ran with Cara and her crew. I love that Cara brought not only her mom, but a friend to help her dress and make her laugh. Made my job much easier. and it was 5X the fun! I hope these were worth the wait – I love the versatility that Shelbyville offers.

LOVE this fence, and we were so lucky to have flowers.

For some reason, I am just in love with this.

Yep…a little more Volkswagon…and I adore it!

Mmmm…Wakefield-Scearce

I love this expression.

Thanks, Cara, for being so fun AND bringing your team. We beat the heat and made some awesome pictures!

This is me…at the computer…at 1 am…editing your faces. I LOVE my job…and my new iMac. She’s soooo fast…and I named her Loo Loo. This photo booth is addicting!

Ok, so maybe I’m a little distracted. Still love my job…I’ve shot some really stellar faces lately, and I can’t wait to share them!

Just a quick shot of my fabulous assistant. Sarah and I went to high school together, and she tagged along to many sessions this summer to see if photo is the thing for her.
After pursuing an education in medicine, she has decided that isn’t the avenue for her, but maybe photo is. I hope you’ve learned lots and had fun, Sarah, because I appreciate you so much.
I shot alone this weekend, and let me tell you my back hurt alot more, my umbrellas got more bent and I was much hotter without her to help me out. Plus, Sarah always had ideas to offer and often sat in while I checked exposures, which is exactly what was going on here. I love this shot of Sarah – she’s so cheery.

Thanks again, you’re amazing! Hope school is going swell!

Laura was such a trooper. The weeks prior to our session she was gone to GSP and returned ready for her session, then came down with a cold. Sarah and I tried our best to entertain her through the Sudafed. I absolutely LOVED the change of pace that shooting in Lexington offered. I also loved Laura’s sweet, unique style. This girl can ROCK the red lipstick. Thanks again ladies for the turtle brownie at Third Street Stuff – I LOVE that place (fabulous coffee shop in Lex; see photo below.)
Enjoy!

On the front porch of Laura’s favorite library. She spends lots of time here and I am so glad this shot worked. It reallllly worked.

An old parking garage – on the second floor…which was made of wood. Amazing space!

This shot is outside Third Street Stuff, a most amazing coffee shop across the street from Sayre.

More to come!

At 3 pm on a 100 plus degree day, my assistant Sarah Bobo (love her) and I met up with Sarah Heine in the Crescent Hill area. From the first phone conversation with Sarah I knew that she had a plan for her photo session. We started at Crescent Hill Baptist, and moved into the air conditioning at her family’s beautiful home. After a tour and lots of shooting in her house, we drove across the road to a historical home Sarah adores. We took a quick run up Frankfort Avenue in search of some color and ended at Heine Bros. Coffee Shop. Yep, Sarah is a member of the rather talented Heine family, so naturally her father insisted we take some shots at the local shop. I totally enjoyed all of the personal locations Sarah chose – they represent her high school experience so well! Enjoy!
In her home – gorgeous!

At Crescent Hill Baptist.

This is sooo J.Crew.

LOVE her eyes here!

Yes, she really was this much fun…and I didn’t suggest this at all, it just happened.

This beautiful shot is in the Heine Bros. shop on Frankfort Ave.

Thanks again Sarah, my Sarah and I had a great time! The slideshow will be up here.
