Good news, I’m getting better at my classwork and have something to share! Last week I spent my Tuesday at the Barren River Livestock Market for their weekly cattle sale. You may remember my first trip there from my story on the market’s veterinarian, Roger Thomas here and here. Needless to say, I have quite a soft spot for animals of any sort, but particularly cows and horses. I hope you enjoy this little piece on a day at the market. Enjoy!

Just a quick grab from some shooting I did this weekend. I am working on a story about Masterson’s Station Equine Park in Lexington, Ky. for school. More to come on this later – but if you have a horse and don’t know about it we soooo need to chat…and then ride together. :-)
From a horse show.

Hope the sunshine warms your heart today :-) I LOVE it!

Here are a few more images from Sadie’s party.
I love this portrait of her – those eye lashes are AMAZING! Sign me up:-)

These guests already know how to “Cheers!”

These sunglasses were a hit with the boys!

Dad, Sadie and Mom :-)

I’m heading home for the weekend, but will return next week with a piece on a cow auction, some senior portraits and other miscellaneous happenings. Enjoy the weather!
.shooting.shooting.writing.
I’ve been a busy lady shooting portraits, cattle auctions and writing papers. The semester is coming to a close (thank the Lord) and it is time for portrait and wedding season to begin. I am super excited and hope I have time to share more of what I have been doing. For now a picture of me shooting.

.why.so.few.posts….school,school,school.
For the last few weeks of class we have been learning how to collect and edit audio, then pair that with images to tell a complete story.
Though I still have lots to learn and feel this isn’t amazing – many of you have been asking to see what I have been doing. So here it is, a story on Allison. I adore her family and came into contact with them through my horse involvement here at school. I hope to continue shooting her as she grows, as this was a continuation from a previous project. I learn so much about life and being gracious each time I visit the Small family. Thanks to you all for always letting me embed myself in your lives.
Remember, this isn’t amazing…and may be something I think about applying to weddings…but not until I am much better. Ha.
And an image, because posts with only words aren’t quite as exciting, so I hear.

.busy.with.bekah.&.blair.
I have been super-busy working on projects for class, but took a little drive out to the country here in Bowling Green for a fun shoot. Bekah and Blair are two of my favorite ladies – and we did a LITTLE shoot to get some images celebrating their graduation – YES! I’m jealous. Anywho, here is a quick pull from the take, plus an image of us all. Blair’s on the left, Bekah on the right and I’m in the middle. Love you all!

.a.sneak.at.the.peek.
School is really demanding this week, but as I am trying to get back on the blogging bandwagon I wanted to meet your insatiable need for posts with a sneak at this weeks’ sneak peeks.
First, high-school senior Suzanne. This image cracks me up because Suzanne is such a sweet girl and the boxing gloves really contrast her personality.

Remember Sadie Anne? Well, she’s already having her first birthday. Here is a candid I pulled from her party. She wasn’t very into her cake.

This is AMAZING!!!!! I love the audio addition. I felt like I was there.
