2008 Seniors
Going to be posting some images from last years’ high school senior photographs!

Miss Violet
A wrap-up on beautiful Violet. Hope your weekend has been fruitful and that you are all fueled up for Monday. Enjoy!

Baby Violet
A sneaker-peeker from baby Violet. Yes – those baby blues are absolutely 100% hers. Aren’t they incredible. More to come later…I’m heading back to my elementary school to work on my project. A little of that this weekend.

Little horsey friends
Hope life is well where you are. Wanted to share some of my favorite images from my trip home last weekend. It was so fun to be home, I got to ride (and I realized how out of riding shape my body is…bummer) and meet a lot of the new Lauer racing foals. I really love the first image because it is such a stretch for me. So out of focus, but really all about me trying to not be quite so perfectionist.
Wanted to also send your attention to the gallery of art prints that will be increasing and available soon for purchase as wall prints, wall canvases and greeting cards. For those of you who have been with me a long time, think of it as a MAJOR update on the Lizzie Loo greeting cards that started it all. Enjoy!

Also a brief update on the comments for cans. We start the commenting counter over again today. Took a couple bags of canned goods to a lady here in town as well as apple juice and pull-ups; things she had requested for her family to have. So get to commenting, because for every comment made here, I will donate a canned good to someone or some organization in need.
Graduation Announcements
Good rainy, Wednesday to ya! Drizzly, drizzly here in Bowling Green. I am getting ready to run back over to my photo project, but wanted to post this little senior tidbit for you.
Here is an announcement that we printed last year as 4×5.5 flat cards on watercolor paper. I believe she used it as an insert to her school’s graduation cards so she could get some pictures out to friends and family. These could also be designed with party information on them. Then you just include them in those announcements that need an invite to your party.
Custom invites and announcements are now in the shopping cart. They come in sets of 25 and everything from envelope color to the smile on your face is customized to fit your liking. Once you fill in the boxes provided you and I will be in touch for the design process until we create, together, something you’re in absolute love with. Something you want to frame and hang on your wall…more on this later. For now have a super day.

Dallas, Tx
I’m back to my computer and ready to finish out the rest of my last semester of college (nuts!, I know). And I’m just sooo excited. Tomorrow will bring a day of digging deep into my semester-long project and lots of picture editing.
The week before last I took a trip with my friend, Alyssa, to visit our photographer boys. They are working at the Dallas Morning News so we took our spring break to drive down and enjoy the warm, Texas weather, a trip to the world’s largest honkey-tonk and lots of fun in the land of big hair, hats and well everything.
Here’s a picture of me hopping on top of one of the cattle statues downtown Dallas. I felt it necessary to demonstrate my ability to ride a cow with horns…except I could only climb high enough to get on the cow’s neck. Jake managed to get all the way on top. I was jealous. With all of my horse riding history I am still lacking skills in the climbing department.

This is an image from our drive home. We made a little detour down a country, Texas road to get a little taste of rural Texas. Over the hill (yes, a hill in Texas) we drove and down below we saw this super-sweet bog-like lake.

Enjoy your Sunday – the weather here is beautiful. Leila and I are working out on our porch on a little crafting project for the office. Will show you all soon!

Graduation Cards & Announcements
Check out this link that will get you where you need to be to order your graduation announcements and invitations. There are many styles and sizes, all custom designed with your images.
I had hoped to get a few examples online before I leave for break tomorrow, but I know many of you have been anxiously awaiting the chance to order yours, so that will have to wait. Once I return there will be many posted, and lots of ideas.
For now, all of your galleries are back and working ANNNDDD you can now get a senior image in a set of 50 wallets for $65. These are perfect for passing out to those friends you couldn’t get to with your first order, mailing with graduation announcements/invitations or sitting on a table at your graduation parties.
Hope you’re having a great week – I hope to be posting from the road. We’re headed to Graceland tomorrow. I think we’re going to discover Elvis…then on to Dallas to discover honky-tonk.
More Dorothy and Alice
Here’s the tail end of photographs from Shelby County High School’s winter production of “Dorothy Meets Alice.”

Baby Announcements
Happy Monday to you and yours. I love the way my schedule is built this semester. Monday is my day to patch up what I missed over the weekend, respond to emails and get it together. So here goes a little Monday blogging relevant to all photography.
Check out these sweet baby portrait announcements from little Lilah’s arrival in January. The cards were printed as 5×5 flat cards on a linen watercolor paper and came with square, black envelopes. The photograph on the left is the front of the card, the right is the back. I think these were the perfect, very personal note for the Perkins’ to send to family and friends. I LOVE how we used one of Mrs. Perkins’ maternity photos on the front and Lilah’s portrait on the back.

Custom announcements, invitations, thank you notes and greeting cards are available for everything from births to graduations, holidays and even ‘just because.’ And each card design is custom and personal. Watch the blog for senior portrait announcement/graduation cards this week!

It is nice to revisit these seniors……………………. soon to be college freshman.
