Sunday Afternoon: Kentucky Thoroughbred Horse Farm
Many of you know that I was quite lucky to be raised in the thoroughbred racehorse industry. The thing I miss most about my move to the big city ( :-) ) is the lack of horses out my kitchen window. Don’t forget the store has prints and greeting cards for sale with lots of sweet equine imagery. Enjoy these!

Colleen: Louisville, Ky. Headshots
Sweet, sweet Colleen and I had a great time shooting. As you can see, there are quite a few I call favorite :-) She’s one of those ladies who has an infectious, sweet personality. She was quite at ease almost instantly and came with great ideas of her own, and I just love that. Comfort in her own skin; beautiful.
After much chatting we found out that we share the same collegiate home, Western Kentucky. She is now at Bellarmine, here in Louisville, attending grad school with plans of being a physical therapist. What a perfect career for her little, bubbly self. Enjoy!

If you want to see more of her headshot session, head over here and snoop about!
Sweet Leila in the Morning : Shelbyville, Ky. Dog Photography
Here’s sweet Leila enjoying her morning peanut butter. She does actually move from the store window on occasion. Enjoy!

Looking for one extremely fashionable girl with her semi-trained dog to shoot. Email celebrate {at} lizzieloo {dot} com with a picture of yourselves and a quick bit of info :-)
6th Street Live : Shelbyville, Ky.
There’s a wee party going on outside – you should stop by and check it out. A few local bands and perhaps one or more from Berea are performing on 6th Street. The coffee shop is open late and there is lots of fun happening. Stop by and say hello, I’m sure they would enjoy the support!

And my sweet neighbor, Cassie, took me up above Shelbyville for a bit. And let me tell you – heights aren’t my thing, but I was glad I braved it!

Love this picture of Lorena : Shelbyville, Ky.
Love it. It’s so her personality.

Lizzie Loo Photography : Open House, Shelbyville, Ky.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who helped make the open house a success. I really enjoyed meeting many of my neighbors, catching up with old friends and seeing past clients all grown up :-) Thanks to my parents who made it all possible – from the amazing cookies my mother and sisters slaved over to the white pumpkins my dad picked up for my papa to carve.
Everything was perfect…so perfect that we forgot to take some pictures until the end…oops and boo to that. These images were taken by Jake Stevens unless otherwise noted.

So it was a little chilly, but the heaters helped heat it all up as did Lewis Mathis‘ singing. Thanks Lewis! (And NO, I didn’t wear those ugly shoes to the party…)

Sister Abby and I warming up.

Abby took this image – I’m sure you figured that out, since Jake’s in it. Thanks to my WKU friends for making the hike up to attend. It was great to have your love and support there!

And baby Lauer with one of my good friends, Bekah – she drove all the way from St. Louis. Gotta love that!

And thanks, thanks, thanks for these sweet notes that have been hitting my inbox lately. Way to make a girl feel loved :-)
I just wanted to let you know that I think you are a phenomenal artist. I, while no good at taking pictures, love it, and I love looking at pictures others take. I especially love candid photographs – of anyone, anywhere. It takes a special, talented person to be able to draw out the emotions in these pictures, and you are the best I’ve seen. (Granted, my opinion probably doesn’t stand for much.) I just thought you should know. And, if I ever need a photographer (hopefully I will one day), you’ll be my first stop.
Congrats on your studio and your successes.

I love that backpack donation idea- you truly care for the the neighbors in Shelbyville. Thank you for inviting us to your grand opening, it was a lot of fun meeting “neighbors” in our town’s business area. i hope it will generate a lot of clients for your studio. Your dog is soo sweet, too ! Hope you are well and you’re enjoying this cool fall weather. You rock, Elizabeth
{Renee}
Hey Lizzie my heart is hurting because we wanted to bring some BEARS up for this great event, but as you know we are going to TSU on this day. I thank God for blessing you so much because down here in BG we love some Lizzie Loo. May God keep pouring his blessings upon you.
{Danny}
So I’m super excited for you and very proud of you! Can’t wait to see all the amazing things you are going to do!
{Jen Creed}
Hey Liz, we love you. Congratulations on your opening.
{The Bears}
Congratulations! What an exciting time for you. As a parent, it give me such joy to see you girls (young women!) achieve such success.
{Donna}

Violet
You may remember Miss Violet from her previous posts this spring here and here.
I am super jealous of her amazing eyes. She’s quite a hoot right now – she enjoys pointing and saying Yes. Absolutely EVERYTHING gets a Yes from violet. Love that.
Enjoy, and let me know what you think about the new way images are posted here! Trying to mix it up….just not sure what that will mean for the blog!

Thank you!
Thanks to the Bears for a sweet photo text during my open house AND a gorgeous plant that showed up on my doorstep yesterday.

Last Monday I made a quick trip to Bowling Green to photograph Coach Danny Carothers as he was recognized at a school board meeting for his work in the community’s children. Lots has happened with this story, much that I will blog on very soon. I’ve needed to post this image for Danny and Tim – the coach to the right. So here you go.
For now, I will leave you with this – $2000 in grant money, much encouragement to me, and many little lives have changed from a school assignment. Nearly each day I am humbled by the changes this story has created. What little thing could you do that has potential for big impact?
Tomorrow morning I’m heading to play Bingo with some older folks, because it feels right for some reason – because it keeps jumping out of the newspaper and coming up in conversation. I’ll keep you posted on what comes of it. What’s jumping out in front of you…what keeps calling your name? Better yet – why haven’t you acted on it?
Keep coming back for more…now that I’m settled I’m gonna take a swing at making this blogging a regular occurrence :-)

Blessed

I’m whooped, and I’m working as hard as I can on all of this goodness…so I’ll be short here. I am one little blessed lady, living my little dream. And I am so thankful to each of you for being a part of it.

Ohhh didn’t know that you had cards for sale! I would love to stop by and look next time I am up there, does your store have regulare hours?
